Mustangs Fall To Cougars In Regular Season Finale

Conway, Ark. – Playing at home for the final time this season, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Columbia Cougars in the final tuneup before next week’s American Midwest Conference tournament. CBC (5-9-1, 2-4 AMC) led at halftime but conceded three second half goals, falling 3-1 to CC (9-5-3, 5-0-1 AMC).

Conway, Ark. – Four Central Baptist College Mustang teams were in action today with both men’s and women’s soccer in St. Louis for American Midwest Conference matches against Harris-Stowe State, volleyball in Walnut Ridge for an AMC tri-match against both Cottey and Williams Baptist and women’s basketball hosted the Blue Mountain Christian Toppers at A.R. Walnut Ridge, Ark. – Heading to the road for the first time since last Tuesday, Central Baptist College men’s soccer took on the Williams Baptist University Eagles this after at the WBU Soccer Field. CBC (4-7-1, 2-2 AMC) scored a goal in the first half to tie the match, but WBU (5-6-2, 3-0 AMC) answered, leading 2-1 at halftime before defeating the Mustangs 5-1.

Conway, Ark. – Looking to extend their winning streak to four straight, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange today in an American Midwest Conference contest at the Conway Soccer Complex. CBC (4-6-1, 2-1 AMC) saw their shutout streak end at 298 minutes as they allowed a pair of first half goals to fall 2-0 to HLGU (5-8-2, 2-2 AMC).

Springfield, Mo. – Heading to the road for the second consecutive Tuesday, Central Baptist College men’s soccer began a stretch of five straight matches against American Midwest Conference rivals tonight with a trip to Mission University to take on the Patriots. CBC (4-5-1, 2-0 AMC) got a goal in the first half and hung on to beat MU (0-10, 0-3 AMC) 1-0.

Conway, Ark. – Playing for the third time this week and the second time at home, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Royals of Ecclesia College this afternoon at the Conway Soccer Complex. CBC (3-5-1) got two second half goals to beat EC (4-3-2) 2-0 and extend their streak of not allowing a goal to 190 minutes.

Conway, Ark. – Returning home for a rare Thursday match, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Champion Christian Tigers tonight at the Conway Soccer Complex. CBC (2-5-1) nearly broke a program record, scoring seven goals in the first half and six in the second to beat CCC (0-5) 13-0.
