Wrestling Competes At Life Open

            Marietta, Ga. – Competing for the third straight weekend, Central Baptist College wrestling was on the mat today for the Life University/Club Lucha Open. CBC had nine wrestlers compete at six weight classes during the open.

            David Corretjer and Yair Sanchez both competed at 125 pounds, Matthew Gallman competed at 133 pounds, Inson Guerrier, Isaiah Hendrix and Alejandro Mas all competed at 149 pounds, Kyle Bahl wrestled at 157 pounds, Luke Jasper competed at 184 and Gregory Pierre-Louis competed at 197. Corretjer had the best showing of the day, placing fifth after finishing 4-2 with two wins by fall and two by decision. Sanchez went 0-2, Gallman went 0-2, Guerrier went 1-2 with a win by fall, Hendrix went 0-2, Mas went 1-2 with a win by decision, Bahl went 0-2, Jasper went 1-2 with a win by fall and Pierre-Louis went 1-2 with a win by fall.

            Next up for the Mustangs is a road dual against American Midwest Conference opponent Williams Baptist. The dual begins at 7 p.m. inside the Southerland Mabee Center in Walnut Ridge.
