Conway, Ark. – Returning home after a road game on Thursday night, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Harris-Stowe State University Hornets on Senior Day in American Midwest Conference play at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (9-12, 7-10 AMC) led after one quarter, but couldn't stop a potent HSSU (6-16, 5-12 AMC) offense in the second quarter, trailing 39-31 at halftime before falling 72-61.
Lydia York, Rhys Anderson, Tamara Christmas and Maele Van Houtert were honored after the game for their contributions to the women's basketball program. Raigan Head led the way for CBC with 20 points while Christmas grabbed 12 rebounds as well.
The Lady Mustangs head to Crowley's Ridge on Tuesday night for their next contest. Tipoff from the Carter Activities Center is at 5:30 p.m.
