Softball Falls Twice In Conway- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 3/21/25
Central Baptist College (13-15 & 2-0 AMC) bested the Pioneers in this afternoon's American Midwest Conference matchup. The Lady Pioneers fall to (9-9 & 2-2 AMC).

Conway, Ark.- The Lady Mustangs finished off the Lady Pioneers in five innings, credited to a dominant performance from the circle with the Mustangs limiting the Pioneers to two hits in game one. Junior utility player Karsen Overshine singled in the fourth for one of the Pioneer hits and freshman Shelbie Walker claimed the second with a single in the fifth. Aimee Buckley took the loss, allowing 8 runs (7 earned) off 8 hits, walking 2, and striking out 2 over 4.1 innings.

Conway, Ark.- Pioneer Softball improved their offensive stat line in game two, scoring 2 runs off 7 hits but would still face defeat with the Mustangs snatching the contest with a walk-off hit in the last frame of the game. The Pioneers matched the Mustangs' two-run effort with Karsen Overshine connecting with her first long ball of the season in the top of the first and Kylie Cox doubling to score Alyssa Dirden in the fourth. Still, a string of hits from CBC in the bottom of the seventh sealed the win for the Mustangs. Karsen Overshine and Lilly Wessel each had 2 hits in the contest. Overshine went 2 for 3 with a HR and RBI, and Wessel went 2 for 2 with a double. Kylie Cox added a 1 for 3 afternoon with a double and RBI. Ava Jessup took the loss, allowing 3 runs off 7 hits, walking 2, and waiving 3 over 6.0 innings.
