Bio

Lyle Middleton is in his 22nd year as Athletic Director at Central Baptist College, having come on board during the 2003-04 academic year to replace former AD Jeff Riddle.

CBC athletic programs have found unprecedented success under Middleton's leadership, with softball winning a pair of NCCAA National Championships (2010 & 2018), baseball making the NAIA Regionals (2016) and men's basketball earning four trips to the NAIA National Tournament including a run to the National Quarterfinals in 2023-24. He also guided CBC through a successful transition to NAIA membership beginning in 2009. CBC student-athletes have earned numerous All-American and All-Academic awards under his leadership and the Mustangs will continue to reach new heights in the coming years and had one of their best seasons ever in 2018-19.

Additionally, Middleton coaches Men & Women's Golf. During his time at CBC, he has also coached other sports including Women's Basketball, Baseball and Volleyball.

Before coming to Central Baptist College in 2004, Middleton worked for 10 years in Boys & Girls Club organizations as an Athletic Director and then as an Executive Director.

Originally from Bald Knob, Middleton attended Lyon College where he played both basketball and baseball. He transferred to the University of Central Arkansas where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. In 2005, Middleton was inducted in the Lyon College Athletic Hall of Fame for his athletic accomplishments.

Coach Middleton and his wife, Tracie, live in Vilonia with their two children, Gram, a senior pitcher on the CBC baseball team, and Sidni, 18. They are members of Antioch Baptist Church. His hobbies include golf and duck hunting/duck guiding. He played on the Adam's Tightlies Tour and NGA Hooter's Golf Tour 2008 - 2009. He has made the Arkansas Cup Team twice representing Arkansas in the Arkansas Nike Cup and the Governor's Cup.
