Jackson, Miss. – Playing away from home for the first time this season, Central Baptist College men's soccer was at Harper Davis Field tonight for a clash with the Majors of Millsaps College. CBC (1-1) got goals in each half, leading 1-0 at halftime before defeating the Majors (0-1) 2-0 in the first meeting ever between the two schools.

CBC's goals came in the 18th minute from Jort Bressers, the second of his career, and in the 80th minute from Hugh McAuley for his fifth career goal. It was the first goal of the season for both men and the assists came from Manny Almaraz and Parker Tebo, the third and second assists of their careers, respectively. Jasper Gadellaa made three saves to help the defense pitch a shutout, help him tie for second all-time in wins and move into fifth all-time in shutouts with number five in his career.

The Mustangs return to the pitch on Tuesday when they head to Siloam Springs to take on the Golden Eagles of John Brown University. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
