Women's Soccer Picked Eighth In AMC Preseason Poll

            St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference office released their preseason women's soccer poll today and Columbia was picked to win the league. Central Baptist was selected eighth by the coaches after finishing in eighth last season.

            "We have been disrespected," said head coach Lance Gordon. We will see how it shakes out in the end."

            The Mustangs return 12 players from last year's squad including all-conference selections Erica Hawkins and Bayleigh Williams. Hawkins led the team with six goals last season and Williams was co-second place on the team in assists after earning honorable mention honors for the second straight season. Women's soccer kicks off the fall sports season at 3 p.m. on Saturday in Dallas against Paul Quinn College.
