North Little Rock, Ark. – Looking to end the regular season on a high note, Central Baptist College women's soccer hosted the Owls of William Woods this afternoon in an American Midwest Conference match at Burns Park on Senior Day. Samara Hernandez, Danna Lozano, Julissa Arevalo and Josie Gelsthorpe were all honored before the match as CBC (0-10-1, 0-7 AMC) dropped their final match of the regular season 4-0 to WWU (9-6-3, 5-2 AMC).
Rebecca Vandenburg made six saves in goal for the Mustangs. CBC will be the #8 seed in the AMC Tournament and will play the #1 seed, Columbia, in the quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 8. Kickoff from Marvin Owens Field is scheduled for 6 p.m. and tickets must be purchased in advance at www.amcsportsonline.com/tickets.
