Little Rock, Ark. – Looking to salvage one game of their American Midwest Conference series with Columbia, Central Baptist College baseball was at Gary Hogan Field again today for the finale of the series with the Cougars. CBC (16-24, 4-11 AMC) only scored in one inning, falling to CC (28-12, 12-3 AMC) 5-2.
Columbia's first three runs came on a home run in the third inning and they would add to their tally with two more runs in the fifth. Both of CBC's runs scored in the fifth, courtesy of Kyle Bass, who singled in the first run and then scored the second run later in the inning on a wild pitch. Mason Sellers and Austin LeJeune combined for four-and-two-thirds innings of one-hit relief with one walk and six strikeouts between them.
CBC returns to Conway on Tuesday for their final non-conference game of the season against the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana. First pitch from Conway Christian's Victory Field is slated for 2 p.m.
