St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference released their all-conference teams today and a Central Baptist College men’s soccer player was amongst the selections. Hugo Chacon earned a second team selection from the coaches in the AMC.
Men's Soccer Season Comes To An End in AMC Quarterfinals

St. Louis, Mo. – Entering American Midwest Conference tournament play as the #7 seed, Central Baptist College men’s soccer took on the #2 seed Missouri Baptist Spartans tonight in the AMC quarterfinals at Spartan Field. CBC (5-14) conceded early, tied the match, trailed at halftime and conceded two in the second half to fall to MBU (11-5-3) 4-1, ending their season.
Mustangs Come Up Just Short on Senior Day

North Little Rock, Ark. – Playing at home for the final time this season, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Owls of William Woods in an American Midwest Conference match on Senior Day. 10 players were honored before the match including Joe McElhinney, ParkerTebo, Hugh McAuley, Manny Almaraz, Ethan Urban and Michael Settle, who all saw action today. CBC (5-13, 2-6 AMC) allowed a goal in the 42nd minute and couldn’t answer, falling 1-0 to the regular-season champions, WWU (10-2-6, 6-0-2 AMC).

North Little Rock, Ark. – Playing their penultimate regular season match of the season, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Patriots of Mission University tonight in an American Midwest Conference match at the Burns Park Soccer Complex. CBC (5-12, 2-5 AMC) got a pair of second half goals from Billy Murray to dispatch MU (1-10, 0-7 AMC) 2-0.
Mustangs Can't Hold Halftime Lead At #20 Columbia

Columbia, Mo. – Playing on the road for the final time in the regular season, Central Baptist College men’s soccer was at Marvin Owens Field today for an American Midwest Conference matchup with the Columbia Cougars. CBC (4-12, 1-5 AMC) scored first and led at halftime, but surrendered six goals in the second half to fall to #20 Columbia (9-2-4, 4-0-2 AMC) 6-1.

North Little Rock, Ark. – Beginning the final stretch of three of the final four American Midwest Conference matches at home, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Eagles of Williams Baptist tonight at Burns Park. CBC (4-11, 1-4 AMC) allowed one goal in the first half and three in the second to fall 4-0 to WBU (7-3-4, 3-2 AMC).

Hannibal, Mo. – Playing an American Midwest Conference road match for the third time this season, Central Baptist College men’s soccer took on the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange this afternoon at Blackwell Field. CBC (4-10, 1-3 AMC) couldn’t find the offense as the Trojans (6-5-2, 3-2 AMC) scored twice in both halves to hand the Mustangs a 4-0 loss.

St. Louis, Mo. – Playing on the road for the second straight Tuesday, Central Baptist College men’s soccer was on the pitch at Spartan Field today for an American Midwest Conference match with the Missouri Baptist Spartans. CBC (4-9, 1-2 AMC) mustered three shots toward MBU’s (8-5, 3-0 AMC) net and allowed one first half and two second half goals en route to a 3-0 defeat.

North Little Rock, Ark. – Returning home after a midweek road trip, Central Baptist College men’s soccer hosted the Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University today in an American Midwest Conference match at Burns Park. CBC (4-8, 1-1 AMC) got behind early, netted a goal just before halftime, but couldn’t get another one as they dropped a 2-1 contest to HSSU (3-5-4, 1-2 AMC).

North Little Rock, Ark. – Carrying a two-match winning streak into tonight’s mid-week contest, Central Baptist College men’s soccer was on the pitch at Burns Park tonight for a contest against Ouachita Baptist. Taking on the Tigers (2-5-1) for the first time in seven years, CBC (4-6) allowed two first half goals and couldn’t get through the OBU defense, falling 2-0.

CBC (4-5, 1-0 AMC) got a goal in each half, beating UHSP (0-8, 0-1 AMC) 2-1.

The first ever meeting between the two programs went the way of the Mustangs (3-5) who put three in the net in the first half and followed up with two in the second half to blow out CCC (1-5) 5-0.

Clarksville, Ark. – Playing on the road for their third consecutive match, Central Baptist College men’s soccer was at the Wilson Athletic Complex tonight for a meeting with the Eagles of the University of the Ozarks. CBC (2-5) trailed 1-0 at halftime, scored in the second half, but allowed another goal in the half to fall 2-1 to U of O (3-2-2).
