#17 CBC Drops Top 25 Matchup To #22 William Woods

            Fulton, Mo. – Playing a top 25 matchup for the third time this season, and the second time on the road, #17 Central Baptist College men's basketball was inside Anderson Arena for an American Midwest Conference clash with the #22 Owls of William Woods University. CBC (15-4, 9-1 AMC) couldn't hang on to a 39-32 halftime lead, falling to WWU (16-2, 8-1 AMC) 79-74.

            Four Mustangs finished in double figures scoring, led by Jonas Carlisle with 19. Wade Williams chipped in with 15 points while Sage Borbon and Gabe Johnson both had 10 apiece. CBC led for over 30 minutes in the contest, but, after leading 55-42 with 15:24 to go, the Owls used a 22-8 run over the next 9:19 to take a 64-63 lead and CBC couldn't respond, and the Mustangs fell to 0-3 against teams inside the top 25 this season.

            CBC heads to UHSP for another AMC tilt on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff from St. Louis is scheduled for 3 p.m.
