Coach McLaurin begins his third season as an assistant for the men's basketball team in 2024-25.

Coach was instrumental in helping the team achieve their historic 28-7 record in 2023-24. He implemented the defensive schemes and helped with scouting and developing games plans during the season. He also assists in workouts and training with a player development aspect thrown in.

In 2022-23, Coach McLaurin helped Coach Kohnke lead the Mustangs to a 21-10 record and a trip to the AMC Championship game.

He coached summer ball at Millsaps before coming to CBC. He graduated from Millsaps in 2020 after two years with the Majors, where he earned all-conference honors as a senior playing for Coach Kohnke. Before that he played at both Alabama A&M and Holmes Community College.
