Maumelle, Ark., Conway, Ark. & Memphis, Tenn. – Central Baptist College fall student athletes had a busy day and night on the course, court and pitch as the Mustang golf, volleyball and men's soccer teams were all in action on a busy Tuesday. Here's a recap of every sport:
The men's soccer Mustangs headed to Memphis, Tenn., tonight to take on the Christian Brothers University Buccaneers in an NAIA vs. NCAA Division II showdown. The final non-conference test of the season for the Mustangs did not go as planned as CBC trailed 3-0 at the half and fell 7-1 to CBU, dropping to 4-7 on the season while the Bucs improved to 3-3-2. Billy Murray scored CBC's goal in the 76th minute after the Mustangs spent the final 30 minutes playing a man down. Edvin Yttergren started in goal and was relieved in goal early in the second half by Jafar Chehade, who made his CBC debut. The final seven match stretch of the American Midwest Conference season for men's soccer kicks off at 4 p.m. Saturday at Burns Park when CBC welcomes the Harris-Stowe Hornets to town.
