North Little Rock, Ark. – Beginning the final stretch of three of the final four American Midwest Conference matches at home, Central Baptist College men's soccer hosted the Eagles of Williams Baptist tonight at Burns Park. CBC (4-11, 1-4 AMC) allowed one goal in the first half and three in the second to fall 4-0 to WBU (7-3-4, 3-2 AMC).
Jafar Chehade made two saves in his fourth straight start for the undermanned Mustangs. Hugh McAuley got off a couple shots toward the WBU net, but both were turned away by the Eagle keeper.
The Mustangs are on the road for the final time on Saturday when they head to Columbia, Mo., for a weekend tilt against the Cougars of Columbia College. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Marvin Owens Field.
