Five Athletes Compete At AMC Indoor Track & Field Championships

            Elsah, Ill. – For the first time since 2023, Central Baptist College competed in the American Midwest Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. Josh Brown, Solomon Barnes, Kortney Embry and Evan East all competed on the men's side while Makenzie Milligan competed for the women.

            Brown finished second in his only event, the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 9.04 seconds. Embry also competed in the final, finishing sixth with a time of 9.34 seconds. Barnes placed third in the triple jump, recording a distance of 13.07 meters and then ran the 200-meters in a time of 24.32 seconds. East was slightly faster in the 200, his lone event, recording a time of 24.05 seconds. Milligan's lone event was the 800-meters and she finished with a time of 3:05.09.

            The track and field team will be back in action this spring for the outdoor season!
