Wrestling Competes At AMC Championships

            Oklahoma City – On the mat for the final time this season, Central Baptist College wrestling was at Abe Lemons Arena today for the American Midwest Conference/Sooner Athletic Conference championship. CBC had four wrestlers competing with Isaiah Hendrix wrestling at 157 pounds, Alfredo Zapata at 165 pounds, Jordan Allen-Smith at 197 pounds and Juan Luis-Tapia at heavyweight.

            Hendrix would go 0-2 at 157. Zapata placed fourth at 165 pounds winning by forfeit, decision and major decision sandwiched around losses by fall and major decision. Allen-Smith placed fifth at 197 with his only win coming by medical forfeit in the fifth place match. Tapia's matches were all decided by fall as he captured fifth place at the 285-pound class.
