Conway, Ark. – Playing in front of the home fans for the first time this season, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Saints of Randall University at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (2-1) never trailed, carrying a 38-22 lead at halftime before winning 81-50 over RU (2-3).
Raigan Head posted her second straight double-double, leading the way with 18 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds. Lydia York, Addison Hudspeth and Riley Whittington also joined Head in double figures scoring, with York adding 15, Hudspeth contributing 14 and Whittington chipped in with 12. The key to the game was turnovers as CBC only committed 11 while forcing 31 Saints turnovers, converting those into 46 points. The Lady Mustangs also only allowed Randall to attempt six free throws on the night while they went to the charity stripe 31 times.
CBC opens American Midwest Conference play next Thursday when they welcome William Woods into Reddin Fieldhouse. Tipoff with the Owls is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
