Conway, Ark. – Playing an American Midwest Conference opponent for the first time this season, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Owls of William Woods at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (2-2, 0-1 AMC) led at 2-0 but trailed at halftime before falling 73-58 to WWU (3-4, 1-0 AMC).
Riley Whittington led the way in scoring with a season-high 19 points. She was joined in double figures by Raigan Head who added 16 and Tamara Christmas with 12. CBC did win the free throw battle 14-8 but were outrebounded 49-34 and committed 14 turnovers compared to forcing just nine.
MUSTANG NOTES
- Christmas also grabbed 10 rebounds to record her first career double-double
- Lydia York made a three tonight to give her 100 for her career, making her just the eighth player to reach that milestone in program history
