Erik Holth, CBC Sports Information Director

Conway, Ark. – Playing in front of a home crowd for the final time this season, Central Baptist College women's basketball took on the Stephens Stars in an American Midwest Conference matchup at Reddin Fieldhouse this afternoon. CBC (10-16, 8-14 AMC) couldn't handle the size of Stephens (20-8, 17-5 AMC), trailing by 16 at the half before losing 76-45.

Aliya Grotjohn led the Mustangs in scoring with 17 points while Raigan Head grabbed a team high 14 rebounds. CBC never had the lead but were able to match SC at the free throw line (10-10) while outrebounding a taller team 41-37.

The Lady Mustangs will be the eight seed in next week's AMC Tournament in Walnut Ridge. CBC will take on the top seeded Williams Baptist Eagles on Friday night in the quarterfinals, with tipoff scheduled for 5:15 from the Southerland Mabee Center.
