Conway, Ark. – Returning to American Midwest Conference play for the first time in a couple weeks, Central Baptist College volleyball hosted the Spartans of Missouri Baptist University tonight at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (5-8, 3-2 AMC) dropped the match in straight sets to MBU (15-9, 6-0 AMC) by scores of 13-25, 14-25 and 9-25.
Madeline Freeman led the way in kills with seven while Brooke Schmitz had nine assists and Kailee Walker made 10 digs. The Mustangs had 19 kills and hit .000 while MBU had 46 kills and hit .324 with five aces compared to just one for the Mustangs. Freeman also, with her kills, moved into fifth place on the all-time kills list.
CBC hosts AMC rival Hannibal-LaGrange tomorrow at 1 p.m. inside Reddin.
