Batesville, Ark. – Playing out of American Midwest Conference action for the final time this season, Central Baptist College volleyball was at Becknell Gymnasium tonight for a matchup with the Lyon College Scots. CBC (6-11) won the first set 25-23 before dropping the final three sets 15-25, 27-29 and 23-25 to LC (15-7).
Madeline Freeman had another triple-double with 13 kills, 18 assists and 10 digs while Brooke Schmitz notched another double-double with 14 assists and 11 digs. Faith Stone contributed 10 kills while hitting .320 and Kailee Walker finished with 12 digs while Sheridan Rogers added 11 and Lakyn Johnson stepped up, making seven blocks (three solo, four assisted) of 10 total blocks on the night for the Mustangs. CBC had 45 kills and hit .129 while Lyon had 59 kills and hit .161.
CBC returns home for their final three matches of the season, beginning with a visit from new AMC rival Mission University on Thursday. First serve from Reddin Fieldhouse is scheduled for 5 p.m.
